Trusted freelance editorial work that speaks for itself
Since waving goodbye to my amazing colleagues at English Heritage and embracing the freelance life, I have worked with some lovely clients. From editing a wellbeing brochure for a local mental health charity to supporting the Shakespeare’s England Board in writing their business documents, it has been wonderful to work with such inspiring, purpose-led brands.

Heal Rewilding
It has been a huge privilege to work with Heal Rewilding over the past year. Heal are a not-for profit organisation on a mission to raise money, buy land and rewild it, creating spaces where nature and people can thrive. I stepped in to support this small and dedicated team to lift the burden of proofreading their monthly and quarterly newsletters ahead of tight publication deadlines. A particular highlight has been proofreading the captions for their new nature film, ‘Heal the Land’, a truly remarkable watch!
Zizzi Restaurant Group
With over 135 venues UK-wide it has been great to partner with Zizzi, a leading Italian restaurant brand and part of the Azzurri Group. Since 2022, I have supported their marketing team editing and proofreading a wide range of marketing comms both online and in print to ease the pressure of tight print deadlines. From spot checking for errors in their suite of seasonal menus to editing website copy, it has been great to work with this contemporary and quirky restaurant group.
Shakespeare’s England
For the past four years it has been a pleasure to work with this not-for-profit tourism organisation, providing writing support at their quarterly board meetings and editing business documents. It has been a great opportunity to hone my editing skills while hearing all about the amazing tourism and hospitality businesses that make up this quintessentially English county, home to England’s greatest playwright, William Shakespeare.
Staffordshire Network for Mental Health
With mental health affecting one in four people in the UK, it was a real privilege to support this small and dedicated team to publish their Wellbeing Training Brochure. I stepped in to lend my editorial support so the team could feel confident in sharing a resource that was both clear and credible, as well as brimming with actionable wellbeing tips.
ASK Italian
My most recent venture has been working with Zizzi’s sister company, ASK Italian. I stepped in to support the marketing team in writing website copy for their portfolio of 65 restaurants. Immersing myself in all things Italian cuisine and using their Tone of Voice guide it has been great to work with another restaurant brand who put Italy into the heart of all they do.
